– A simple formula for the polycount ( in triangles) is h * 5 where h is the height of the building in meters. A 100-meters high building or module should use approximately 500 triangles. This is a relatively low polycount, but keep in mind that an average city will maybe have to render hundreds of such buildings !

– The h * 5 formula is based on buildings that are taller than wider. If the main dimension of your building is not vertical, the same formula should apply, but on the main dimension. So, a building that is 500m length x 100m height x 100m wide should use approximately 2500 triangles ( 500 * 5 ).
