4.1. Description

简述

Most stations are located in orbit around planets, or in ( for mining stations ) in asteroid fields / belts.

多数空间站位于近行星轨道上,采矿站则多设置在小行星带中。

Stations might be able to move a bit, but they're certainly not designed for that. Stations are normally built on their definitive orbit. Their thrusters are just good enough to maintain them on a stable orbit. If they were to move across a solar system, it'd take them days just to travel 1 A.U.Stations don't have FTL or even light-speed engines.

空间站可以有一定的机动能力,但机动肯定不是站点设计的根本方面。通常它们都在固定轨道上运行,所附的推进器只要足够把站点调整到稳定轨道就够了。如果想让这些空间站横越恒星系,那么它们飞过一个天文单位就要花上好几天。站上不装配光速或超光速引擎。

Some stations can be found in the upper atmospheres of some gas giants; those kind of stations are using anti-gravity generators and are the most expensive to run.

在类木行星(即巨型气态行星)上层大气中的空间站使用反重力发生器来保持相对位置,它们的运行成本也最高。

4.2. Design

The most important aspect of stations is that they are a place where people live and work, so they must recreate natural gravity. All stations use gravity generators. Stations using circular profiles ( ala Star Trek / 2001 ) are usually preferable.

设计空间站最关键的方面是要认识到它们是一个人们生活工作的场所,所以必须在站点中再现自然重力。所有空间站都配备重力发生器。 推荐空间站使用环形的外部结构(见星际迷航2001年)。

If the station is modular ( or built with many objects ), some sections can be rotating, and some of them can remain static. Don't forget to keep hangars in the static sections. If is recommended to place some vertical / down thruster(s) on the underside of the station ( with a similar design than those in the back of ships ), that will help the station to maintain its altitude / orbit.

对于多舱体或组合式的空间站,可以让它们的有些模块旋转,有些保持静止。机库要保持静止状态。 建议在空间站底部加装若干竖向推进器(类似舰船尾部的推进器),用于保持站点相对于行星的垂直高度,帮助稳定轨道。

Stations use hardpoints just like ships, so do not forget to place static hardpoints on large, flat surfaces in strategic locations, so that it is able to defend itself.

空间站和舰船一样也可以设置挂载点(hardpoint,建模用语,3D模型的武器槽要设置挂载点,下文通称挂载点),设计时务必在较大且较平坦的战略位置布置静止的挂载点,使其能实施自我防御。

– They can be slightly asymmetrical

– All stations should have a pretty large hangar ( or many of them ), able to hold tens of small or medium ships. See the hangars section for more informations.

– Large ships will dock externally to the station, via docking ports. See the section below about docking ports. Don't forget to keep a distance / separation large enough between many docking ports on a surface, to allow ships to dock without hitting each other. It is recommended to use distances matching the width of existing garage classes ( see garage specifications ).

  • 空间站应配备一个较大的(或多个)机库,拥有同时停靠数十艘中小型舰船的载荷。详见本文机库部分。
  • 大型舰船在站外通过对接口与空间站对接。详见本文相关部分。务必保证同一表面上多个对接口之间有足够大的距离,避免相邻舰船停靠时发生碰擦。建议参考现有的泊位的宽度(参见泊位规格)。
